Ship Overview

The Federation Navy Comet was the first navy frigate made available for Gallente. It is quick, agile, and packs quite a punch. Pair that with versatile fitting options, as it has viable fits both for brawling and kiting, and you end up with one of the most popular ships of the low-sec warzones. It's the best candidate to upgrade from the Atron that we started with.

The Comet has a bonus for damage and tracking speed which means you want to get up close and personal to your targets. It's not the most durable ship in the galaxy so you have to rely on your speed and agility to get into a tight orbit around your target and use your bonused tracking to hit them while they miss their shots. It can work as a fast tackle or plex runner - given the damage with Void ammo it can even run Medium plexes in a reasonable amount of time.

The fit

This fitting is really tight. It fits without any implants on max fitting skills but if you run out of CPU, you can downgrade your Damage Control and Warp Scrambler. You can also switch the rigs to T1 variants to shave a few million off of the price.

This time there are two variants included - MWD which is suited for fast tackle / anit-kiter role, and AB for good old brawls at the entry to the plex.

The skill plan

As mentioned, the fit requires good fitting skills to make full use of it. Following that, focus on your gunnery support skills to make sure you land your shots in the close-quarter brawls.

Conclusion

Keep in mind that the Comet is a versatile hull and each one you encounter will be fit differently. Use this fit as a baseline for your experimentation and find the one that works for you the best - maybe it will use dual Webifiers or maybe you will switch to railguns for better range management. Whatever you do, remember that the ultimate goal is simply to have fun with it.
